HISTORY
- 2488: Born to simple merchant parents who resided on Persephone during the third of June.
-2498: Though his parents who good folk who tried their best to raise their son proper, he fell in with the wrong life.
-2499: Began working for a man named Badger, but quickly fouled up on a job and was harshly punished.
-2499: Not one to let himself be taken advantage of -- the only reason he was thieving in the first was because he wanted to -- Saqyther fought back. Badger had put two of his men on him to teach the boy a lessen, one with a bullwhip and the other with a stun baton. Saq caught one thug's hand and used his own weapon against him, but was lashed by the first toady. Leaving the baton in the dirt, he caught the whip the second time it snapped and pulled the man closer, breaking his nose and two bones in his hand.
-2499: Badger was, odd enough, impressed. Not to say he didn't beat Saqyther twice as hard for fighting back, but he was still taken aback by the damage the kid dished to two of his best men. There is profit to be made on this lad, he knew, even if it weren't thievin'.
-2500: The wrong life he stepped into was on of violence, something, as it turned out, that Saq had a talent for. His new friend, backing him with coin, began to take Saqyther to underground, highly illegal fighting matches. Though he nearly lost his first brawl and totally lost the hearing in one ear, the fights continued.
-2505: Received the nickname "Spooky" from one of his opponents after a fight, stemming from his intimidating manner and "spookifying" lack of words.
-2509: Undergoing a risky operation to implant a cybernetic pain dampener through his skull and into his brainpan, Saqyther found himself taking harsher and harsher poundings with smaller and smaller drawbacks.
-2511: Having gone undefeated, Saqyther found himself attached to the ring for the rest of his short career. There was no one who could take him down, and though his pockets weren't the ones being lined, he wasn't about to let it go.
-2512: After his implant, Saqyther discovered he had a talent for working with machines, almost like some sort of empathy.
-2513: With twenty wins under his belt and the unofficial title for the greatest street fighter on Persephone, Badger began looking for other options to employ Saq once other fighters refused to go up against him. The weasel managed to get him aboard a ship, some junky salvager crew, fencing Saqyther out as a menacing muscle-type, unaware of the young man's talent with mechanics.
-2513: Never been to space, never particularly wanted to go but...once he saw Her...well, he fell in love.

PERSONALITY
laconic way of speaking - never says four words when three will suffice.
sasquatch - stands a good head higher than most and slightly broader.
talented - has a way with machines; mechanical and technical engineering.
straight-laced - doesn't laugh, smile, or joke around. ever. |in game, this will slowly fade as he gets comfortable with the crew.|
phobia - small and large bodies of water, particularly drowning in them.
indentured hand - nicer way of saying slave.
anger issues - running head first into danger just don't seem that bad when you're ticked to gorram hell.
resistant to pain - due to a cybernetic implant that he's still paying off, Saq doesn't feel pain like normal folks.

WEAPONS & GEAR
one - a street fighter for the majority of his life, Saqyther is a walking weapon without the aid of guns or knives.
two - Layer Blade: double-edged, 16 inches in length, made of a sandwich of thin-film diamond between fillers of density-enhanced steel. manufactured in zero-g conditions. if user has sufficient strength, the layer blade can cut through solid metal.
three - Marlin Model 2394C - a carbine in .357 Magnum form, 9 shot, level-action repeating fire.
four - a gift from Badger after winning twenty consecutive fights, Saq wears a duster which has fragments of razor blades sewn into it. more than once has an opponent tried to grab him, only to be cut by the coat.
